Ok.  I got a kick out of this, so I thought I would share.  Understand that the prosperity gospel is heretical teaching, and is a shame that so many fall under it's teachings.

Coming to a close

November 2008 ends in about 3 hours.  I know some months seem to pass faster or slower than others.  I'm wondering where this November went.  Really.  It has literally flown by.  And now it's crunch time for Christmas, and all that goes along with it. 

KidStuf was fun tonight.  Everything went great.  Our KidStuf team just comes together so well each month.  I am constantly amazed at the talent of our team.  They are great!!

Christmas KidStuf

We're getting ready for KidStuf Sunday night.  It's our Christmas KidStuf.  The message is GREAT.  I love it when the message is just driven home.  It should be full of laughs too!!  I was out of the country on the last KidStuf, so I'm ready to get back to it tomorrow night.

Today has been different.  I was going to put up the Christmas lights outside, but I got rained out. 

I was able to spend some time with the family though.  I grilled some ribeyes that were FINE!!  Now, I think I'll go over my lines a few more times before tomorrow. 

Coach Croom has resigned

After 5 years of coaching Miss. State football, Slyvester Croom resigned today.
Great man with integrity.  Great guy.  Not so great a head coach.  I wish him the best. 

It is time for Miss. State to move forward.

Christmas Lights

It's Saturday morning.  The tree is up.  Melanie did an excellent job on the decorating.  She had some little hands helping her too.  I just helped put the lights on.  Now I have to decide if I want to put the lights up outside today.  I think I may.

Why? Black Friday nonsense

This one incident right here is reason enough not to have a "Rush" at these stores.

"Wal-Mart employee dies after being trampled."

I guess my point is that people have lost their mind thinking it's ok to a) break down the doors of a WalMart for a frenzy on material things. b) that 200 people think it's ok to do this.  c) that they literally trampled a man to death. 

Wow. 

State got slammed.

I didn't watch it.  I didn't listen to it.  I'm thankful on this day that I was on the road with kids who would rather watch a movie on the way home.  Fire away.  State was awful this year.  Something has to change.  Be it an offensive coordinator or a new coaching staff (including the head coach) would be fine as well.  It's year 4 or 5 now.  I think he's had plenty of time to get more results than 4 wins out of 12 games.  Please.  That is pathetic. 

Back Home

We made it back home.  I'll try and post some pics of the deer later on (if my card reader will work).  Melanie put up the Christmas tree before we left.  Tonight, we'll finish putting the lights on it.  I think tomorrow is decorating I believe.  We have our first Christmas party/banquet on Tuesday.
